Allied Justice
正道联盟Zhèngdào Liánméng
A faction returning from earlier Phantom Blade games, named 正道联盟 in Chinese hands-on coverage (Gamersky, Oct 2026). The English “Allied Justice” is a fan match and unconfirmed; “Righteous Alliance” is a literal alternative.
What the name means
| Character | Pinyin | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 正 | zhèng | upright, orthodox |
| 道 | dào | path, way |
| 联 | lián | to join, unite |
| 盟 | méng | alliance; originally a covenant sealed in blood |
The real culture behind it
正道 is “the upright path”. In wuxia’s moral map the orthodox sects (名门正派), such as Shaolin and Wudang, stand on it, facing the 邪 and the 魔 — the heterodox and the “demonic”. 联盟 is an alliance; 盟 originally meant a covenant sealed with blood (歃血为盟).
The genre loves to test that line. In Jin Yong’s The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, the “righteous” Five Mountains Sword Alliance (五岳剑派) is led by men as ruthless as the Sun Moon Holy Cult they fight, and the wulin alliance leader (武林盟主) is a stock figure who is often murdered or corrupt. One reading, ours: in a game whose fallen wear masks, an alliance that names itself after righteousness invites the same suspicion.

- The Order & Real Chinese Secret Societies, ExplainedIs Phantom Blade Zero's Order real? No — but Ming China had secret police (Jinyiwei), banned sects (White Lotus) and sworn brotherhoods that became triads.
