长柄金瓜Chángbǐng Jīnguā

Fan reading

A long-handled hammer that fans, reading official footage, identify as the Phantom Edge dropped by the 2025-demo giant Wan Jun “Coppermaul”. Neither name is confirmed, though heavy hammers are confirmed shield-breakers.

The real culture behind it

The 金瓜, “golden melon”, is a real Chinese weapon: a mace with a melon-shaped head on a staff. It descends from the 骨朵 (gūduo), a club with a round or garlic-shaped head, and from the Song onward gilded versions were carried by palace honour guards as part of the imperial regalia (卤簿), which is how the popular name 金瓜 stuck.

The giant who carries it, as fans read the footage, has a fitting name: 万钧, “ten thousand jun”, is the stock measure of crushing weight, as in 雷霆万钧, a blow with the force of thunder (one jun is 30 jin). Liang said back in 2023 that the Phantom Edges run to “big hammers that break shields”, and Chinese coverage confirms heavy hammers as shield-breakers.
